| West Chester to Reduce Energy Useage 10% by 2015 |

West Chester Borough Council voted on Monday night to reduce energy consumption by 10% by 2015. The plan will effect borough-operated buildings and vehicles, and will also provide incentives for businesses and residents to reduce energy usage. West Chester has been proactive in Green Initiatives in recent years. They previously passed an ordinance requiring that all public buildings meet Energy Star standards. The energy reduction plan was proposed by BLUER, a committee formed by the borough several years ago to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution. Read more at the Daily Local. |
