West Chester Borough Council voted on Monday night to reduce energy consumption by 10% by 2015.  The  plan will effect borough-operated buildings and vehicles, and will also provide incentives for businesses and residents to reduce energy usage.

The energy reduction plan was proposed by BLUER, a committee formed by the borough several years ago to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution.
